Johnny Phillip Morris Smoking Stand is 34" inches Tall with a 7 1/2" square Base , Cast Iron with Tin wrapping around the Legs .The Phillip Morris Smoking Stand was used in Hotels. He Holds a Box of Matches in the left hand and cigarettes in the right , surrounded by the holder/Ashtray. Marked PAT  APPLD FOR on His Back and Patent Applied for on the bottom of the Base . Johnny Roventini  ( AKA John Louis Roventini Known as Johnny Phillip Morris was an American dwarf Actor of Italian-American heritage . He stood less than four feet tall as a fully developed adult . He was working as a bell boy at the New York Hotel in 1933 When he was Discovered by an advertising Mogul who had him perform a page , issuing a call for Phillip Morris . He reportedly could always vocalize a perfect B-flat tone as he reported those words, literally over a million times during his career, according to his own estimate . He soon became famous as a product spokesman for Phillip Morris brand cigarettes in radio , television and print advertising Media . He was described by Phillip Morris personnel as a living Trade Mark and represented the company for over 40 years .  This Rare piece  has all the parts and is original . The condition is Good / Very Good , given it's  age and the condition of other stands I have researched . It has a few 3/4 small dents on the Tin Pants/wrapping around each Leg .
