VINTAGE GLASS ASHTRAY 3.5" SQUARE 4 SLOT SMALL MCM.
Was my moms and is at least pre 1960. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was 1930-40’s-50’s, Would have been around when she set up housekeeping as she married 1935. Were on solid ground financially enough to buy furniture and things like ash trays by 1940. I say thus because it was a different time. You bought your stuff and kept it. People didn’t buy tons of stuff. Life was cheaper and wages too. People had maybe 5-6 sets of clothes. And barring breakage, dishes and glassware weren’t replaced because fashion changed. So this has floated around in a drawer for 40 years after my mom used it. Or anyone. Mom kept it for someone who still smoked to take outside. Personal size.
No chips miraculously for its age.
